who we are
Where We’ve Been
Shepherd’s Coffee Co. was founded in 2020 as a single-bar coffee catering company, just two people with a vision and a willingness to say yes. What began as a small operation quickly became something more, fueled by a deep belief that coffee could be a vehicle for connection, creativity, and purpose.
In July of 2021, we opened our first brick-and-mortar café in El Cajon, San Diego. It was a defining season—full of growth, learning, and stretching. After a year, we made the difficult decision to close our doors and step back. It wasn’t the end, but a necessary moment to refine who we were and what we were building.
Where We’re At
Today, Shepherd’s Coffee Co. has grown into a multi-faceted business—roasting coffee, offering full-service catering, and operating a café experience rooted in excellence and community. We’ve planted our flag on Imperial Avenue in San Diego, marking a new chapter and a renewed sense of purpose.
What started with two people has become a team filled with dreamers, visionaries, and entrepreneurs. People who don’t just work here, but carry the mission forward. As life has grown; marriages, families, and new seasons, we’ve evolved not just externally, but internally. That kind of growth is what defines us.
This is coffee for the dreamers.
